Using develop craft and stretch and explore I have learned how to use different tools and materials such as, floral foam, bar of soap, and plaster. I have also learned how to embrace the opportunity to learn from my mistakes, by being more careful with the floral foam, since I broke the bar soap in half. I made a whale out of a bar of soap, by carving with tools, I also made a donut out of plaster but didn't have time to finish it. I made gary the snail from spongebob out of floral foam. The eye broke off but I glued it back on. I also made a flower pot out of cardboard and a styrofoam cup.

I had Art 2d last semester, and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to this Art 3d class.
GOALS: 1. My goal is to try new materials. 2. Another goal of mine is to not give up on artworks that I don't like. 3. My last goal is to have a fun and positive time in this class. My favorite artwork this semester was the landscape one, because I had fun creating it and coming up with ideas. I would like to redo the identity artwork because I think I could've done a better job if I had more time. In art class I learned not to give up when you make mistakes, and instead just try to fix them. I wish we could've done something like watching a Bob Ross video together in class and trying to follow along and paint it with him. I think it would be a fun thing to do as a class.
My artwork is a sun and moon. There is a sun on the left and a moon on the right. The left has blue skies and clouds, while the right side has a black background. My zodiac sign, Capricorn, is wrapped around the moon. I created my artwork by sketching and painting with acrylic paint. The big idea behind my artwork is that I really like the universe because we don't know many things about it. I also included my zodiac sign because I really like zodiac signs, and it also tells you who I am. My goals were to finish it by the due date, try my best, and not give up when I made mistakes. My overall thoughts are that it came out how I wanted but next time I should sketch lighter so you can't see the pencil marks under the paint. Overall I tried my best and I like how it came out.
I used develope craft by learning different ways to do collage. I also used engage and persist, because I learned and listen about collages, I used painted paper for my collage.
My artwork is an ocean landscape. There is an orange and yellow sunrise. The sunrise is reflecting off the ocean. There is one palm tree on the beach along with some a little bit of grass/bushes. There is also a sailboat in the ocean. I created my artwork using acrylic paint. My big idea behind my artwork was to have an ocean landscape. After that it developed to a sunrise, with a sail boat, and a palm tree. My goals were to try my hardest and not give up when I made mistakes. I think I tried my best and even though there are some mistakes it still looks as good as I could've made it.
In this artwork I have used engage & persist because I have made a couple of accidents but I have always fixed it. The second Studio habits of mind I have done is developed craft by learning to mix the right colors.
I used develope craft because I learned how to mix acrylic and how to properly use it. I also used envision because I picture in my head how I was going to make my two inspiration photos make one idea.
I learned how to use watercolors with salt and other skills. I also engaged and persisted when I messed up with acrylic. I wanted for the paint to dry and I painted over it.
